I have a 2020 Ski-Doo Summit, and the DESS key tab broke off while I was trailering it. It still works, but it's a bit loose now. Is it possible to replace just the housing?

Yeah, thats actually a pretty common issue. You can usually replace just the DESS key housing without getting a whole new key. You'd transfer the internal electronics from your old key into the new housing. Its a relatively simple fix, though you'll want to make sure you handle the electronics carefully so you don't damage the chip inside

It's frustrating that a 2020 Ski-Doo Summit still has such a fragile DESS key housing, forcing owners to deal with loose keys or spend extra money on replacements for what should be a simple fix

Needing to replace an entire housing because a flimsy plastic tab snapped is just Ski-Doo's sneaky way of taxing loyal riders....cheap part failure, premium repair cost, classic corporate cash grab.

Yeah, it’s annoying how fragile those tabs are on the 2020 Summit. Luckily, swapping just the housing usually works fine if you’re careful with the electronics inside. Did you manage to track down a replacement housing yet?
