Turbo vs NA on flat trails

I'm trying to decide between two Skidoo sleds that are basically twins with the same chassis and suspension, but one has the 900 ACE naturally aspirated engine and the other comes with the 900 ACE Turbo. I mostly ride flat trails and some easy rolling terrain, so I'm wondering how much of a difference the turbo actually makes in that kind of setting.
I've heard that turbos really shine when you're riding at higher altitudes because the thinner air limits power for NA engines, but down here at near sea level, the extra boost doesn't add much. Is that true? or will the turbo still give noticeably better throttle response and acceleration even on flat ground?

Got a Skidoo with the 900 ACE NA and ride mostly flat trails too and the reliability and fuel efficiency are just amazing. The turbo does give quicker throttle response and more torque, but at sea level, the difference isn't dramatic unless you're really pushing it.

If you're cruising and not chasing speed, the NA might be all you need. Plus, regular gas and lower maintenance are a win in my book.

I'm generally considered a forced induction hater, because those engines have more things that can go wrong, so I'd go for the naturally aspirated one, just for the potential longevity.

Buying a turbo for flat trails at sea level is like flexing a Rolex at Walmart, yeah, it's shiny, but you're burning cash for bragging rights more than actual performance.

Hey @sawwar091, for mostly flat trails near sea level, people generally lean NA too. The turbo is fun, but unless you’re really pushing it, the extra torque isn’t that noticeable, and the NA will be simpler and cheaper to run. How often are you thinking of taking it on longer rides where that extra punch might matter?
